I'm No Longer Confused: Why Google MyBusiness is Excellent For SMBs

Google has renamed Google Places to Google MyBusiness. MyBusiness is pretty much the same as Places with a facelift and a couple of new reporting features. Sooo... why not just add the two new reporting features to the pretty new Places interface and call it a day? At first blush, I'm confused. 

Ahh, but there's a lot more to this than meets the eye. On the home page of Google MyBusiness you see this:

New – Google My Business connects you directly with customers, whether they're looking for you on Search, Maps or Google+
